DECLARATION OF INTENT TO CONTEST FOR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

I hereby officially inform the general public, the good people of Ghana, and especially the people of the Weija Gbawe Constituency, of my intention to contest as an Aspiring Member of Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2028 General Election, and, by God’s grace, to continue serving if given the opportunity in subsequent elections.

After years of acquiring knowledge, wisdom, leadership experience, and practical exposure through business, community service, traditional leadership, and international engagement, I believe the time has come for me to dedicate myself fully to public service.

Since 2nd August 2018, I have had the privilege of serving as part of an accredited Non-Governmental Organisation with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC). This experience, together with my work across Ghana and internationally, has broadened my understanding in areas including:

 

* Healthcare
* Education
* Business and entrepreneurship
* Legal and justice matters
* Chieftaincy and traditional governance
* Court and dispute resolution
* Family and social welfare
* Faith and community development
* Humanitarian and international development

 

These experiences have prepared me to serve the people of Weija Gbawe with dedication, integrity, and competence.

 

I became a member of the great National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2008. At that time, I was often told that politics was a dirty game. Although opportunities existed for me to enter active politics, I chose to focus on building businesses, serving communities, and gaining experience.

 

Today, I have come to appreciate that politics is not dirty when practised with honesty, integrity, accountability, and genuine love for the people. Politics only becomes dirty when driven by selfish interests and criminal intentions. I therefore believe the time has come for men and women of integrity to step forward and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

 

My vision for the people of Weija Gbawe is centred on:

 

* Accessible and quality healthcare for all.
* Quality education powered by technology and innovation.
* Job creation and economic empowerment.
* Support for entrepreneurs and local businesses.
* Human rights protection and access to justice.
* Skills training and youth empowerment.
* Care and support for persons with disabilities and vulnerable members of society.
* Unity, peace, security, and sustainable development.

 

I also recognise the invaluable contribution of the hardworking delegates and members of the National Democratic Congress. They remain the backbone of our great party. I am committed to developing practical welfare initiatives that will support delegates during times of need while strengthening our party for victory.

 

If entrusted with leadership, I pledge to serve all people fairly, without discrimination based on political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, gender, or social status. My commitment is to be a servant-leader who listens, unites, and works tirelessly for the progress of every resident of Weija Gbawe.

 

I sincerely thank everyone for your prayers, encouragement, advice, financial support, and unwavering confidence in my leadership. Together, with God as our guide, we can build a stronger, safer, healthier, and more prosperous Weija Gbawe.

 

May Almighty God bless the Republic of Ghana, bless the National Democratic Congress, and bless the wonderful people of Weija Gbawe.
